Aikido For Children

To the casual observer, Aikido might appear to be a strange practice, unconnected to the modern world. To one who looks deeper, the true nature of Aikido is revealed. Aikido emphasizes traditional values held in respect by all cultures. Courtesy, co-operation, awareness, personal responsibility and respect are embedded in the practice.Children strengthen their bodies, sharpen their concentration and coordination and learn the importance of expanding their awareness of the world around them. Regular practice re-enforces the necessity to do one’s best at every task.

Classes are on-going; children ages 8-16 are welcome to join the program after watching a class. Senior members of the children’s class may apply for permission to attend adult classes.
